The Seminoles showcased their defensive capabilities by accumulating five blocks and six steals throughout the game. Their offense was equally impressive, with a field goal percentage of 44 percent and an exceptional free throw performance at 84 percent accuracy. The team's effort on both ends of the court was evident as they outrebounded their opponents with a total of 39 rebounds compared to Wake Forest's 35.

A key factor in the Seminoles' win was their ability to capitalize on turnovers, scoring 11 points off Wake Forest's mistakes. Despite committing more turnovers (15) than assists (7), they maintained control of the game flow with critical plays that kept them ahead. Their two-point shooting was particularly effective, making 20 out of 41 attempts which translated to a solid shooting percentage of 49 percent.

On the other side, Wake Forest demonstrated resilience despite being outplayed. They managed to secure three blocks and ten steals against Florida State while also dishing out fourteen assists. However, their field goal percentage stood at just 37 percent and they struggled from beyond the arc with only six made three-pointers from twenty-three attempts (26 percent). Free throws were another area where they lagged behind FSU, converting only nine out of fourteen attempts (64 percent).

Wake Forest did have moments where they shined through individual efforts such as scoring five fast break points and thirteen points off turnovers which showed their ability to exploit opportunities when presented.
