Florida State Seminoles VS Syracuse Orange

At the JMA Wireless Dome, home of the Syracuse Orange, fans witnessed an intense match-up where both teams displayed remarkable effort on the court. The Florida State Seminoles came into this game with high expectations but fell just short against their opponents. Despite this setback, there were numerous standout performances and notable statistics from the Florida State side.

The Seminoles showed their strength inside by dominating points in the paint with a total of 46 compared to Syracuse's 22. This inside presence was further bolstered by converting 52 percent of two-point attempts. However, they struggled beyond the arc with only five three-pointers made from twenty-one attempts resulting in a mere 24 percent shooting from distance.

Defensively, Florida State managed to block four shots and steal possession five times throughout the contest. They also outrebounded Syracuse on both ends of the floor with a total rebound count of 40 which included eleven offensive boards contributing to second-chance opportunities.

On offense, assists were distributed effectively among players as evidenced by their fourteen assists; however turnovers proved costly for them as they gave up possession fourteen times which translated into four points for Syracuse off those turnovers.

One area where Florida State excelled was at the free-throw line where they shot an impressive 80 percent making twelve free throws out of fifteen attempts. This accuracy helped keep them within striking distance until late in the game when Syracuse pulled away slightly due to more efficient three-point shooting and capitalizing on second-chance points which amounted to fourteen for them compared to seven for FSU.

Despite these efforts and leading at various stages during play – indicated by seven lead changes – it wasn't enough as time ran out with Syracuse securing victory on their home court before an attendance crowd numbering two thousand five hundred thirty-three spectators.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought battle, fans can look forward to seeing how Florida State bounces back when they host Virginia Cavaliers at Donald L. Tucker Civic Center located in Tallahassee on January twenty-first at two o'clock PM Eastern Time. The game will be available for viewing via ACC Network Extra online platform ensuring supporters won’t miss any action from what promises to be another exciting matchup.
