Florida State Seminoles Encounter Setback at KFC Yum! Center Against Louisville Cardinals

The Florida State Seminoles faced a challenging contest against the 22nd-ranked Louisville Cardinals, concluding with a score of 70-55. The Seminoles now stand with an unranked status, while the Cardinals improved their rank. The game saw the home team taking advantage of their court to secure a win.


Florida State Seminoles VS Louisville Cardinals

The Seminoles started strong in the first quarter, putting up 16 points against the Cardinals' 18. However, they struggled to maintain momentum in the second quarter, adding only 10 more to their tally as Louisville surged ahead with an additional 25 points. After halftime, Florida State managed to score another 11 points in the third quarter but still trailed behind as Louisville notched up another 16 points. In a final push during the fourth quarter, Florida State added 18 points but it wasn't enough to close the gap created by Louisville's consistent performance across all quarters.


Despite falling short on overall points, Florida State showcased some robust defensive plays with a total of five blocks and ten steals throughout the game. They also demonstrated teamwork with eight assists and maintained discipline by committing only fourteen personal fouls and one technical foul.


On offense, Florida State had trouble finding their rhythm from beyond the arc; they shot at ten percent from three-point range making just two out of twenty attempts. Inside however was a different story where they scored thirty-four points in paint showing some strength under basket play.


The team's free throw performance was solid at seventy-five percent accuracy but this did not compensate for lower field goal percentages which stood at thirty-two percent overall including forty-two percent for two-point shots.


Louisville Cardinals capitalized on turnovers scoring seven points off them compared to thirteen by Florida State off Cardinal errors. Moreover, rebounding proved pivotal as Louisville dominated with fifty-seven rebounds over Florida States' thirty-two which included sixteen offensive boards leading to eleven second-chance-points for them.


Looking ahead after this tough encounter on foreign hardwoods; fans can look forward to supporting their team when they return home next week. The upcoming match will see them face off against Clemson Tigers at Donald L. Tucker Civic Center located in Tallahassee on March third scheduled for four o'clock post meridiem Eastern Time Zone broadcasted live for supporters unable to attend in person.
