First Quarter

The opening quarter saw the Seminoles struggling offensively, managing only 8 points compared to the Tar Heels' 17. The defensive efforts by Florida State were notable with Amaya Bonner contributing with a block and four rebounds throughout the game. However, their offensive execution was lacking as they shot just 29 percent from the field.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Jasmine Shavers emerged as an offensive spark for Florida State by scoring consistently and maintaining her perfect free throw percentage at 100 percent. Despite her efforts, North Carolina extended their lead by adding another 21 points to their tally.

Third Quarter

As play resumed in the third quarter, Emma Risch made significant contributions off the bench for FSU with her efficient shooting performance of 50 percent from beyond the arc. Yet again, it was not enough to close in on UNC's growing lead as they scored another impressive set of points.

Fourth Quarter

The final period saw some resilience from FSU as they put up their highest scoring effort of any quarter with Sydney Bowles adding crucial baskets and assists. Nevertheless, North Carolina maintained control through effective ball movement leading them to finish strong.

Florida State's defense showed potential but could not contain UNC’s offense which capitalized on turnovers resulting in fast break opportunities and second-chance points that proved decisive in this matchup.

Looking ahead for fans eager for more action: The next game is scheduled against SMU Mustangs on January 22nd at Moody Coliseum in Dallas at 7:30 PM EDT where it will be available via ACC Network Extra broadcast online.
