Stegeman Coliseum Showdown: Georgia Lady Bulldogs vs Tennessee Lady Volunteers

As the Georgia Lady Bulldogs prepare to host the Tennessee Lady Volunteers at Stegeman Coliseum, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a riveting encounter. The upcoming game is set against a backdrop of recent performances that suggest the Bulldogs have some areas of concern, particularly when it comes to consistency.

In their last three games, the Bulldogs' performance has been a rollercoaster ride. On December 21st against Ball State Cardinals, they narrowly missed victory by one point with a final score of 51-52. Despite outrebounding their opponents 38 to 32 and posting a higher field goal percentage at 43 percent compared to Ball State's 35 percent, turnovers and poor free throw shooting at just 44 percent proved costly.

However, in their next game on December 20th against Pittsburgh Panthers, UGA turned things around with an impressive win scoring 65 points while holding Panthers to just 59. Their rebounding was dominant with a total of 48 rebounds and they managed an improved field goal percentage of nearly 45 percent. They also showcased their ability to capitalize on turnovers by scoring more points off turnovers than in previous games.

But then came another dip in form on December 16th when UGA lost at home against Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with only seven points off turnovers and shooting free throws at an abysmal rate of under half made (43 percent). This inconsistency is something that could haunt them if not addressed before facing the formidable Tennessee team.

The key for UGA will be maintaining defensive pressure while improving their offensive efficiency - particularly from the charity stripe. With such close margins in past games, every point counts and free throws could very well decide the outcome.

UGA fans should expect their team to come out fighting hard as they always do under home court advantage but must also brace themselves for potential swings in momentum given recent patterns.

The showdown between these two teams is scheduled for February second at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens. Fans eager not to miss this clash can catch all the action live as both teams vie for supremacy on court – it's certainly not one you want to miss!
