Cougars Claw Past Horned Frogs in Fierce Encounter at Fertitta

The Houston Cougars improved their season record to a commendable 77-66 victory over the Horned Frogs. Both teams started strong, matching each other with 20 points in the first quarter, but it was the Cougars who managed to pull away as the game progressed. The home advantage at Fertitta Center seemed to work in favor of the Cougars, who capitalized on their opportunities and showcased a solid performance throughout.


TCU Horned Frogs VS Houston Cougars

The Houston team's defensive efforts were particularly noteworthy as they amassed 13 steals and blocked one shot, which contributed significantly to their win. On offense, they were efficient inside the paint with 34 points and showed remarkable accuracy from the free-throw line with a 78 percent success rate. Moreover, while both teams had similar assist numbers—11 for Houston and ten for TCU—the Cougars demonstrated better ball security with only nine turnovers compared to TCU's higher count.


A standout performance came from one of Houston’s key players who consistently drove through TCU’s defense contributing significantly towards her team’s total score tally. Her agility on court disrupted many plays by TCU leading them into errors that ultimately tilted the game in favor of her team.
