The game at Assembly Hall saw the Indiana Hoosiers take control early on, ending the first quarter with a four-point lead. They expanded this lead by halftime, thanks to an outstanding second-quarter performance that saw them outscore the Bulldogs by thirteen points. The Hoosiers' offense was firing on all cylinders as they shot an efficient 44 percent from the field and an exceptional 92 percent from the free-throw line.

The Indiana team also excelled defensively, limiting their opponents to just 36 percent shooting from the field and a mere 25 percent from beyond the arc. Their defensive prowess was further highlighted by accumulating two blocks and four steals over the course of play. On top of that, they dominated on rebounds with thirty-eight in total—nine more than their opponents—which included five offensive boards leading to eleven second-chance points.

Offensively for Indiana, it was not just about scoring but also about sharing the ball effectively; they tallied fifteen assists against sixteen turnovers for an assist-to-turnover ratio of nearly one. Furthermore, they capitalized on turnovers by scoring fifteen points off Bulldog mistakes.

On Butler's side despite facing tough opposition—their tenacity shone through as they managed fifty points against one of college basketball's sturdier defenses. They were particularly effective from free throw line where they made five out of six attempts—a commendable eighty-three percent accuracy rate—and fought hard under both baskets securing twenty-six rebounds including four offensive ones which translated into four second-chance points.

As fans look ahead after this commanding performance by Indiana Hoosiers women’s basketball team, attention turns towards their next challenge: an away game against Michigan State Spartans at Jack Breslin Students Events Center in East Lansing. Scheduled for December 29 at 8 PM Eastern Time zone fans can catch live action via B1G+ internet broadcast network ensuring not a moment is missed as these two teams face off in what promises to be another exciting match-up for women’s college basketball enthusiasts.
