Hoosiers Dominate Eagles at Assembly Hall in Women's Basketball Showdown

In a commanding display of basketball, the Indiana Hoosiers outplayed the Morehead State Eagles with a final score of 87-24. The Hoosiers, ranked fourth, improved their record to an impressive tally while the Eagles remained unranked following this encounter.

The home team's offensive effort was relentless throughout, as they amassed 87 points over four quarters. Their shooting accuracy was particularly notable; they achieved a field goal percentage of 56 and were successful on half of their three-point attempts.


The defensive prowess displayed by the Hoosiers complemented their offensive surge. They tallied six blocks and eleven steals over the course of play, which contributed to twenty-five turnovers for Morehead State. This defensive pressure allowed Indiana to capitalize on turnovers with thirty-six points scored off these opportunities.

Rebounding was another area where Indiana excelled – pulling down forty-three rebounds including thirty-four defensively – while limiting Morehead State to twenty-six rebounds overall. The disparity on boards contributed significantly to second-chance opportunities for Indiana who scored fourteen second-chance points compared to none for Morehead State.
