Iowa Hawkeyes Dominate at Wells Fargo Arena Against Cleveland State Vikings

The Iowa Hawkeyes showcased a commanding performance at Wells Fargo Arena, outscoring the Cleveland State Vikings 104-75. The Hawkeyes' season record improved to an impressive 4-0, while the Vikings now stand at 0-4. The home team's offensive display was relentless throughout the game, with quarters ending in 26-18, 27-18, 31-17, and a final push of 20-22.

The Iowa Hawkeyes were unstoppable on their home court as they tallied up a total of 104 points against the visiting Cleveland State Vikings. With an outstanding field goal percentage of about fifty-one percent and converting nearly ninety-three percent from the free throw line, the Hawkeyes' shooting accuracy was a critical factor in their victory. They also dominated inside with forty-four points in paint and capitalized on turnovers by scoring twenty points off them.


Defensively, Iowa was just as impressive. They outrebounded the Vikings with forty-nine rebounds to twenty-one and stole possession twelve times over the course of play. Their defensive efforts limited Cleveland State to thirty-eight percent shooting from two-point range despite allowing them to shoot fifty-nine percent from beyond the arc.


The Vikings did put up a fight despite being overpowered by their opponents. They managed to sink ten three-pointers and kept their free throw accuracy high at seventy-nine percent. Their fast break plays resulted in thirteen points but it wasn't enough to keep up with Iowa's pace.


As for individual performances for Iowa, there were notable contributions across the board which included making twenty-four out of thirty-six two-point attempts and ten three-pointers made from thirty-one attempts. The team also showed great discipline by committing only thirteen personal fouls throughout all four quarters.
