The Iowa City venue was buzzing with excitement as the home team showcased their scoring efficiency. The Hawkeyes shot an exceptional 62 percent from the field and an impressive 77 percent on two-point attempts. Their prowess in scoring was complemented by a strong defensive performance, recording three blocks and ten steals over the course of the game.

The home team's dominance was evident in their points distribution across quarters, with high marks of 29 and 27 points scored in the first two periods respectively. They also excelled in ball distribution, tallying up to 27 assists which underscored their collaborative play style.

On individual performances, it's worth noting that every player who stepped on court for Iowa contributed to this victory. The team capitalized on turnovers, converting them into ten crucial points which helped maintain their lead throughout.

The Maryland Terrapins did not go down without a fight though; they managed to score half a century inside paint and secured more total rebounds than Iowa with a count of 40 compared to Iowa's 33. However, they struggled beyond the arc with just an eleven percent success rate from three-point land.

Despite these efforts by Maryland, it was clear that night belonged to the Hawkeyes as they led for most of the game after only one lead change occurred early on. The visiting team also had higher personal fouls count at twenty-five against seventeen by Iowa which may have disrupted their rhythm further.

Looking ahead for fans of Iowa basketball, attention turns toward an upcoming away game against Penn State Lady Lions scheduled for February fifth at five PM Central Time at Bryce Jordan Center located in University Park. This matchup will be broadcast nationally on BTN channel six hundred ten where supporters can tune in to follow their beloved team's progress through another exciting college basketball encounter.
