From the opening quarter, the Hawkeyes set a strong pace with 19 points to the Hoosiers' 17 and didn't look back. The second quarter saw an even more dominant performance from Iowa, outscoring Indiana by four points to extend their lead. By halftime, it was clear that the home team had taken control of the game.

Iowa's offensive execution was clinical throughout. They shot an impressive 49 percent from the field across all quarters and were particularly lethal from beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of 42 percent. Their free throw accuracy was near perfect at an astounding rate of 90 percent.

The team's defensive efforts were equally notable; they limited Indiana to just nine points in the final quarter while racking up five steals and three blocks over the course of play. This defensive prowess contributed significantly to their fast break points tally which stood at fifteen by game's end.

A key aspect of Iowa's victory was their ball distribution; they amassed nineteen assists which reflected their cohesive team play and ability to find open players effectively. This teamwork also shone through in rebounding where they outperformed Indiana by securing thirty-seven rebounds compared to twenty-eight for their opponents.

On individual performances, several Hawkeyes stood out with remarkable contributions on both ends of the court. Their ability to convert turnovers into points was another highlight as they scored sixteen points off turnovers thanks in part to aggressive defense leading to fourteen player turnovers from Indiana.

The Hoosiers did have moments where they challenged Iowa but ultimately couldn't sustain it against such formidable opposition. They managed eight steals and twelve assists but struggled with shooting efficiency overall – hitting only forty-three percent from field goal range and twenty-five percent for three-pointers.

As fans look ahead, attention turns toward future matchups for both teams as conference play continues its intensity.

Looking forward, fans can mark their calendars for when Iowa will next take on Wisconsin Badgers at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on January 16th at 8:00 PM CT time zone in what promises to be another exciting contest within conference boundaries.
