The game, held at James H. Hilton Coliseum in Ames, saw the home team take control from the start. The Iowa State Cyclones established an early lead with 21 points in the first quarter and maintained their scoring consistency with another 21 points in both the second and third quarters before ramping up to finish strong with 26 points in the fourth quarter.

The Cyclones showcased superior shooting accuracy throughout the game, achieving a field goal percentage of about 56 percent compared to just about 31 percent for their opponents. Their prowess was particularly evident from within close range where they made an impressive two-thirds of their two-point attempts.

Notably contributing to this victory was Iowa State's defensive effort which resulted in seven steals and three blocks. They also outrebounded North Dakota State by a significant margin, pulling down a total of 44 rebounds – including ten offensive boards that led to twelve second-chance points.

On offense, Iowa State displayed excellent teamwork as evidenced by their twenty assists on thirty-three made field goals – reflecting an assists turnover ratio of about two. This cohesive play helped them capitalize on turnovers as well; they scored eleven points off turnovers committed by North Dakota State.

The visiting Bison did not go down without a fight despite trailing throughout all four quarters. They showed resilience especially from beyond the arc where they sank nine three-pointers at approximately a thirty-five percent clip and excelled at free throw shooting with over ninety percent accuracy.

North Dakota State’s efforts were hampered by eighteen personal fouls which contributed to additional scoring opportunities for Iowa State who made fourteen free throws out of nineteen attempts (about seventy-four percent). Despite these challenges, they managed fifteen points in both third and fourth quarters but could not overcome Iowa's substantial lead.

As fans look ahead after this convincing win for Iowa state women’s basketball team, attention turns towards their next challenge against Troy Trojans scheduled for December seventeenth at six PM local time back here at James H. Hilton Coliseum. Fans can catch all upcoming action live as it unfolds on court without any broadcast networks announced yet for this event.
