Allen Fieldhouse Set for Kansas Jayhawks vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers in Women's Basketball

As the Kansas Jayhawks prepare to host the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Allen Fieldhouse, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game of women's basketball. The Jayhawks, coming off a series of varied performances, are looking to assert their dominance on their home court.

Nebraska Cornhuskers VS Kansas Jayhawks

In their recent matchup on December 10 against Wichita State Shockers at Charles Koch Arena, the Jayhawks showcased a commanding presence with a 76-56 victory. Their offensive prowess was evident as they shot an impressive 59 percent from the field and 47 percent from beyond the arc. The team also displayed a strong defensive game with six blocks and eight steals, contributing to 20 points off turnovers.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for KU; they had some concerns with ball handling as evidenced by their total turnover count of 19. Despite this setback, they managed to maintain control throughout the game without any lead changes—a testament to their ability to dictate the pace and flow of play.

Earlier in December (December 7), KU faced Houston Christian Huskies at home and once again demonstrated why Allen Fieldhouse is considered such a fortress for them. They emerged victorious with a scoreline of 79-57. Their shooting remained consistent as they hit just over half of their field goals and maintained solid two-point shooting at around 61 percent accuracy. Ball distribution was key in this win as well; KU racked up more assists than turnovers leading to an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.6.

However, it's crucial not to overlook one concerning performance against Texas A&M Aggies on December 3 where KU scored only 52 points while allowing the Aggies to put up 63 points against them—their lowest scoring output compared with other recent games. This loss highlighted areas that need improvement such as rebounding where they were outperformed by Texas A&M who grabbed six more boards overall including five more offensive rebounds which led to second-chance opportunities.

The upcoming contest will require KU’s players not only replicate but exceed past successes while addressing weaknesses shown in previous outings if they wish secure another win before their own fans.

Looking ahead at Nebraska Cornhuskers' statistics from previous games could suggest that if KU can tighten up defensively—particularly on rebounding—and maintain high shooting percentages while reducing turnovers, there is every reason believe that victory could be within reach once again for Kansas Jayhawks.

Fans eager witness whether Kansas can continue its winning ways should mark calendars for December 21st when these two teams face off at Lawrence’s iconic Allen Fieldhouse starting at sharp midnight CST (technically early morning). Those unable catch action live will unfortunately miss out since no broadcast networks have been announced yet—but rest assured knowing atmosphere inside arena will be nothing short electric!
