The Kansas Jayhawks faced a challenging contest against the Texas Longhorns, concluding with a 56-91 defeat. The Jayhawks now stand with an unranked status, while the Longhorns boast an impressive 11th rank. Despite their efforts, the Jayhawks were unable to match the scoring pace of their opponents throughout the quarters.

The game at Moody Center in Austin saw the Kansas Jayhawks struggle to find their rhythm against a formidable Texas defense. The Jayhawks managed to accumulate 56 points over four quarters, scoring 12 in the first, followed by consistent performances with 14 in the second and 15 in both third and fourth quarters. However, this output paled in comparison to that of the Texas Longhorns who tallied a dominant total of 91 points.

Kansas' offensive efforts were led by their free throw accuracy which stood at an impressive 83 percent success rate. They converted on 19 out of their total attempts from the line but struggled from beyond the arc with only an eight percent three-point shooting performance. Defensively, Kansas managed nine steals and two blocks during play but allowed Texas significant leeway as evidenced by their opponent's high field goal percentage of fifty-nine percent. The rebounding battle was also lost by Kansas; they gathered a total of thirty-one rebounds compared to Texas' thirty-six.
