In a fiercely contested conference game, the Liberty Lady Flames improved their season record with a hard-fought victory over the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters. The final score read 66-59 in favor of the home team, while the visitors left with their tally reflecting more losses than wins. The Liberty Arena in Lynchburg witnessed an intense battle where both teams displayed determination and skill.

Liberty Flames VS Louisiana Tech Bulldogs

The game began with the Lady Techsters taking an early lead, outscoring the Liberty Lady Flames 18-8 in the first quarter. However, as play progressed, it was evident that this would not be a straightforward contest. The home team rallied back in the second quarter adding 20 points to their score while holding their opponents to 21 points. By halftime, momentum had begun to shift.

The third quarter saw a remarkable turnaround for the Liberty Lady Flames as they put up an impressive 19 points against Louisiana Tech's 10. This surge was fueled by exceptional shooting accuracy from within two-point range where they achieved a notable 64 percent success rate throughout the game. Their defensive prowess also shone through; they tallied three blocks and four steals over four quarters of play.

Offensively, Liberty's performance was bolstered by making half of their field goal attempts and sinking free throws at a solid rate of two-thirds accuracy. Their tenacity on defense translated into securing more rebounds than Louisiana Tech with a total count of 30 compared to Louisiana Tech's 27.

The fourth quarter maintained this intensity as both teams added another set of identical scores - each posting another additional nineteen points on board - but it was too late for Louisiana Tech to close down on Liberty’s lead which had been firmly established during that pivotal third period.

As for individual contributions from players on both sides: assists were distributed generously among teammates with fifteen coming from players wearing Liberty jerseys and twelve from those representing Louisiana Tech; however turnovers were also present affecting both sides equally with thirteen apiece.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought win at home, fans can anticipate watching future games involving these resilient athletes who have shown great character under pressure. The next challenge for the Liberty Lady Flames will take them away from home turf as they face off against Florida International Panthers at Ocean Bank Convocation Center located in Miami on January 18th at 7 PM Eastern Time – an event that can be followed live by supporters eager to see if their team can continue its winning ways.
