The Cardinals entered the quarterfinals with high expectations but were met with resistance from the start. The first quarter saw them trailing by nine points, which set the tone for what would be an uphill battle throughout the game. Despite their efforts to close this gap in subsequent quarters, they were outscored again in overtime.

The Louisville team showcased a robust defensive effort with six blocks and an impressive 15 steals during the game. Their offensive play was marked by 11 assists and a commendable performance inside the paint, where they scored 38 points. However, their shooting from beyond the arc was less effective; they made only three out of 16 attempts from three-point range.

On offense, field goal attempts for Louisville totaled 69 with a success rate of approximately 39 percent while two-point shots had a slightly better completion rate of around 45 percent. Free throw opportunities were relatively scarce for Louisville as they made only ten out of their sixteen attempts.

Rebounding was another area where Louisville showed determination but ultimately fell short compared to their opponents. They gathered a total of 31 rebounds – nine offensive and seventeen defensive – contributing to some second-chance scoring opportunities though limited to just three points.

Turnovers proved costly for Louisville as well; despite forcing more turnovers than they committed (20 versus Gonzaga's 29), it wasn't enough to swing momentum in their favor consistently throughout all four quarters and into overtime.

Gonzaga's performance was notable particularly in terms of rebounding where they dominated with an impressive total rebound count of fifty which included fourteen offensive rebounds leading to twenty-four second chance points that played a significant role in their victory over Louisville. Their free throw accuracy stood out remarkably at around eighty-seven percent making twenty out of twenty-three attempted shots which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead over Louisville especially during critical moments towards game end.

As fans look ahead, The Louisville Cardinals are scheduled to play away against Texas Longhorns at Imperial Arena on November twenty-first at seven thirty PM Eastern Time. This upcoming match can be viewed on FloSports via internet broadcast networks ensuring fans won’t miss any action from Nassau’s premier basketball venue.
