From the opening quarter, the LSU Lady Tigers established their dominance on the court with an initial lead of 22-7. They maintained their momentum into the second quarter by adding another 17 points to their tally against Vanderbilt's 13. The third quarter saw a more competitive edge from both teams, but LSU still outscored Vanderbilt by one point, ending it at 19-20. In a powerful final push during the fourth quarter, LSU surged ahead with an additional 27 points to seal their triumph.

The Lady Tigers' performance was marked by remarkable efficiency in various aspects of play. Their shooting accuracy was evident as they made half of their two-point attempts and finished with an overall field goal percentage of forty-four percent. Despite struggling from beyond the arc with only fifteen percent success rate on three-pointers, they managed to sink two crucial shots that contributed to their total score.

Defensively, LSU was formidable; they amassed six blocks and twelve steals throughout the game which disrupted Vanderbilt's offensive flow. Their defensive efforts were complemented by fifty-seven total rebounds—twenty-nine defensive and twenty-eight offensive—which dwarfed Vanderbilt's thirty-five rebounds.

Offensively, LSU excelled in capitalizing on second-chance opportunities by scoring thirty-two second-chance points and also took advantage of turnovers by adding twenty-five points off them. The team showed resilience in maintaining possession as evidenced by zero team turnovers despite seventeen individual player turnovers.

Vanderbilt put up a valiant effort but struggled against LSU's defense; they recorded thirteen steals but were limited to just nineteen percent from three-point range and thirty-one percent for field goals overall. They did excel at free throws making seventy-six percent compared to LSU's sixty-six percent but it wasn't enough to close down the gap created early in the game.

As for individual performances for LSU, contributions came across all fronts indicating a well-rounded team effort rather than reliance on any single player’s heroics—a testament to their collective strength this season.

Looking ahead for fans of Louisiana State University Lady Tigers basketball: mark your calendars for February 11th when they will face off against Alabama Crimson Tide at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge. This home game is scheduled for a tip-off at 3:00 PM Central Time and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 (channel number two hundred nine). It promises another opportunity for fans to witness these talented athletes continue their pursuit towards excellence this season.
