First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams testing each other's defenses. The Terps managed to put up 16 points but were outpaced by the Wolverines who scored 22 points. Yarden Garzon was instrumental for Maryland, contributing significantly with her defensive efforts and scoring prowess.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Michigan extended their lead by adding another 24 points to their tally while Maryland added only 15 points. The Terps struggled with turnovers which hampered their offensive flow. Despite this, Oluchi Okananwa showcased her skills by scoring crucial baskets and maintaining pressure on Michigan's defense.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, both teams matched each other point-for-point with each side scoring 21 points. Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu stood out for Maryland during this period as she dominated inside the paint and secured vital rebounds that kept her team in contention.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw Michigan sealing their victory by adding another 20 points compared to Maryland's contribution of just 17 points. The Wolverine's efficient shooting percentage of over fifty percent proved too much for the Terps' defense to handle throughout this period.

Post game analysis revealed that despite strong individual performances from players like Yarden Garzon and Oluchi Okananwa, it was not enough to overcome Michigan’s cohesive team play and superior shooting accuracy which ultimately led them past any defensive barriers set up by Maryland Terrapins post-match stats showed areas needing improvement such as reducing turnovers which cost them valuable possessions during critical moments of playtime.
