Miami (FL) Hurricanes Dominate at Watsco Center Against Fordham Rams

In a commanding display of basketball, the Miami (FL) Hurricanes outplayed the Fordham Rams with a decisive 78-39 victory. The home team's record now stands at an impressive 1-0, while the visiting Rams fall to 0-1. The Hurricanes' offensive efficiency was on full display as they doubled their opponent's score.

Offensively, every statistic favored Miami (FL). They shot an outstanding fifty-five percent from field goal range and forty-six percent from beyond three-point line compared to twenty-eight percent field goals and twenty-one percent three-point shooting by Fordham. Inside play was also dominated by Miami (FL), who scored thirty-four points in paint versus twenty-two by Fordham.


Rebounding was another area where Miami (FL) excelled with thirty-nine total rebounds; this included nine offensive boards contributing to eleven second chance points. Their defensive prowess limited Fordham's opportunities for rebounds which totaled thirty-two.


Assists were plentiful for Miami (FL), who recorded nineteen assists demonstrating effective ball movement against only six from Fordham. This teamwork extended into turnovers where despite having twenty-five turnovers themselves, they capitalized on those made by their opponents scoring thirty points off turnovers while limiting Fordham to nine.
