In an intense matchup at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, the Hurricanes showcased their competitive spirit but fell short against the home team. The first quarter saw them trailing with 15 points to the Seminoles' 21, and despite picking up pace in the second quarter with an additional 18 points, they still found themselves behind as halftime approached with Florida State leading by eight points.

The third quarter was where Miami (FL) showed remarkable resilience and offensive skill, outscoring their opponents by nine points to bring themselves within striking distance. Their scoring effort was led by impressive field goals shooting that resulted in 24 points for that period alone. However, maintaining this momentum proved challenging as they entered the final stretch of the game.

Despite a valiant effort from Miami (FL), including securing five steals and blocking one shot throughout the game, it wasn't enough to overcome Florida State's defense which managed four blocks and six steals. The Hurricanes also recorded eighteen assists but were hindered by fourteen turnovers which Florida State capitalized on for twelve points.

Offensively, Miami (FL) had a solid performance inside shooting nearly half of their two-point attempts successfully and finishing strong in paint scoring with thirty points. They also made eight three-pointers but struggled from beyond the arc overall with just thirty-three percent accuracy.

Rebounding was fiercely contested; however, Florida State edged out slightly with thirty-seven total rebounds compared to Miami's thirty-five. Both teams fought hard offensively on rebounds but it was clear that every possession counted in such a close game.

The upcoming home game for Miami (FL) Hurricanes is set against Clemson Tigers at Watsco Center located in Coral Gables on February 8th at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch all of this action live as it unfolds on court.
