Mississippi State Bulldogs Dominate Georgia Tech in Home Court Victory

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have solidified their dominance with an impressive 84-47 victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Bulldogs now stand with a formidable record, while the Yellow Jackets are left to reassess after another game added to their loss column. The home team's score by quarters consistently outpaced their opponents, showcasing a strong performance throughout the game.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets VS Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs

From the opening tip-off at Humphrey Coliseum, the Mississippi State Bulldogs set a relentless pace that would continue for four quarters. Their offensive execution was nearly flawless, converting 52 percent of field goals and an outstanding 57 percent from two-point range. The three-point line also proved to be friendly territory for the Bulldogs as they sank 39 percent of shots beyond the arc.

The defensive prowess displayed by Mississippi State was equally impressive. They managed to block five shots and steal possession six times from Georgia Tech. This defensive pressure contributed significantly to the Yellow Jackets' struggle on offense, limiting them to a mere 29 percent shooting from the field and an abysmal 18 percent from three-point land.

Mississippi State's teamwork shone brightly with a total of 23 assists leading to efficient scoring opportunities. This was complemented by their ball control as they committed only twelve turnovers throughout playtime while forcing fourteen from Georgia Tech, translating into seventeen points off turnovers for Mississippi State.

Rebounding was another area where Mississippi State excelled; they outrebounded Georgia Tech by fifteen rebounds overall, including nine offensive boards which led to fifteen second-chance points. The personal rebounding effort contributed forty-one rebounds for Mississippi State compared to twenty-four for Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech did show proficiency at free throw shooting with ninety percent accuracy but only made it to the line ten times compared to fifteen attempts by Mississippi State who capitalized with eighty-seven percent success rate themselves.

As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for when Humphrey Coliseum will once again be filled with excitement as TCU Horned Frogs visit Starkville on March 24th at 2:00 PM CT.
