In an intense matchup at the Lawlor Events Center, the Nevada Wolf Pack displayed commendable effort but ultimately fell short against the visiting UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. The home team's performance was highlighted by their defensive plays, which included six blocks and nine steals throughout the game. Despite trailing in the first quarter with only ten points to UCSB's nineteen, Nevada fought back valiantly in subsequent quarters.

The Wolf Pack showcased their resilience by outscoring UCSB in both second and third quarters with nineteen and twenty-one points respectively. Their offensive efforts were led by impressive three-point shooting accuracy of forty-four percent compared to UCSB's forty percent from beyond the arc. Additionally, Nevada capitalized on turnovers better than their opponents, scoring twenty-four points off turnovers.

Nevada also demonstrated strong teamwork with fifteen assists over UCSB's fourteen and managed a higher assist-to-turnover ratio of 0.88 against 0.67 for UCSB. However, personal fouls proved costly for Nevada as they accumulated twenty-two compared to just ten by UCSB.
