Northwestern Wildcats Set to Host Bradley Braves at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Women's Basketball Showdown

As the Northwestern Wildcats prepare to welcome the Bradley Braves to Welsh-Ryan Arena for an anticipated women's basketball game, fans are eager to see if the home team can bounce back from their recent performances. The upcoming clash scheduled on December 17th promises a competitive atmosphere where strategy and execution will be key.

Northwestern Wildcats VS DePaul Blue Demons

The Wildcats have had a rocky journey in their past few games. On December 10th, they faced a tough Maryland Terrapins squad and were outscored 58-71. Despite putting up a strong fight in quarters two and four, scoring 19 points each time, it wasn't enough to secure victory. Their shooting was less than stellar with field goal percentages at just 36 percent from two-point range and only slightly better beyond the arc at 35 percent.

In contrast, during their game against Georgetown Hoyas on December 3rd, NW showed similar struggles with consistency. They managed only 58 points against Georgetown's robust offense that put up an impressive 82 points. The Wildcats' field goal percentage hovered around the same mark as against Maryland, but free throw accuracy was a silver lining at over 81 percent.

However, not all recent memories bring concern for Northwestern fans; there is also reason for optimism looking back at November 29th when they hosted Loyola Chicago Ramblers. In that matchup, NW displayed resilience by rallying back with strong second-half performances after trailing early on. They ended up narrowly losing by five points but showed promise with six blocks defensively and an improved assist-to-turnover ratio of over one.

The upcoming game presents an opportunity for redemption as well as showcasing improvements made since these past encounters. The Wildcats will need to focus on reducing turnovers which have plagued them recently and capitalize on scoring opportunities inside the paint where they've shown efficiency.

Defensively speaking, NW must aim to limit Bradley's fast break opportunities while also controlling the boards more effectively than in previous outings – areas where opponents have previously found success against them.

For those who bleed purple and white, this is more than just another game; it’s about proving that Northwestern can compete with tenacity regardless of past setbacks or challenges ahead.

Fans can catch all the action live from Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston on December 17th starting at 8:00 PM local time (20:00 UTC). With no broadcast networks listed yet for coverage details may emerge closer to game day so stay tuned for updates on how you can follow along!
