The Wildcats faced a tough opponent in the Hoyas, who showcased an impressive offensive effort at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Hoyas managed to sink 26 field goals out of 56 attempts, achieving a field goal percentage of 46. They were particularly effective from the free-throw line, making 23 out of 28 shots for an accuracy rate of approximately 82 percent. From beyond the arc, they hit seven three-pointers on their way to accumulating those crucial points.

On defense, the Hoyas were just as formidable; they recorded nine steals and three blocks while limiting their personal fouls to just sixteen. Their rebounding was also noteworthy as they grabbed thirty-five boards during the game – twenty defensive and twelve offensive rebounds contributing significantly to their win.

In contrast, Northwestern struggled to find its rhythm offensively. The home team made only nineteen field goals from fifty-three attempts which translated into a modest shooting percentage of approximately 36 percent from two-point range and slightly better performance from three-point territory with seven made shots out of twenty attempts for a shooting percentage around thirty-five percent.

Despite being less efficient in scoring compared to their opponents, Northwestern did show resilience on free throws by making thirteen out of sixteen attempted shots for an eighty-one percent success rate. However, this wasn't enough as turnovers proved costly for them; fourteen turnovers led to fifteen points for Georgetown.

The Wildcats also had difficulty containing Georgetown's offense inside as they allowed twenty-eight points in paint compared to their eighteen. Additionally, second-chance opportunities were limited with only seven second-chance points scored by Northwestern against thirteen by Georgetown.

Looking ahead after this setback at home court advantage in Evanston's Welsh-Ryan Arena before an attendance crowd numbering one thousand five hundred eighty-seven fans cheering them on – The Northwestern Wildcats are set up next against Maryland Terrapins away at Xfinity Center located in College Park on December ten o'clock post meridian Eastern Time Zone (ET). Fans eager not miss any action can tune into future broadcasts scheduled without any network specified yet.
