Northwestern Wildcats Narrowly Outscored at Target Center by Rutgers Scarlet Knights

On the other side of the court, Rutgers managed eight blocks and nine steals defensively while also providing seven assists on offense. They had an edge in shooting inside with eighteen successful two-point field goals out of forty-four attempts (forty-one percent) and were slightly more accurate overall in field goal percentage at thirty-eight compared to Northwestern's thirty-five.


Rutgers also took advantage when sent to the free-throw line making fifteen out of twenty-one shots which rounds up to seventy-one percent effectiveness. Dominating under both baskets was key for them as they collected forty-four rebounds including nine offensive rebounds that led directly to twelve second-chance points.
