From the onset at Purcell Pavilion, the home team established a rhythm that would resonate throughout the game. Despite trailing by two points after the first quarter, Notre Dame quickly recalibrated to outscore Clemson 21-9 in the second quarter. This momentum carried into an even more dominant third quarter where they racked up 22 points to Clemson's nine, effectively sealing their fate early on.

The Fighting Irish were relentless on both ends of the floor. Defensively, they amassed ten blocks and fourteen steals which disrupted Clemson's offensive flow. Offensively, Notre Dame was efficient with a field goal percentage of forty-four percent and an even more impressive free throw percentage of eighty-one percent.

A key aspect of Notre Dame’s victory was their ability to capitalize on turnovers; they scored twenty-five points from this alone. Their ball distribution was also noteworthy as evidenced by nineteen assists leading to an assist turnover ratio of 1.27.

Clemson struggled to find their footing throughout the game with a field goal percentage sitting at thirty-two percent and only converting twenty-one percent from beyond the arc. They were able to gather thirty-nine rebounds equaling that of Notre Dame but could not convert these opportunities into sufficient points in paint or second-chance points.

The home team’s dominance in fast break situations added another layer to their victory – scoring nineteen fast break points compared to none for Clemson. The disparity between both teams' performances was evident as Notre Dame maintained control throughout all four quarters.

As fans revel in this decisive victory for Notre Dame Fighting Irish, attention now turns towards their next challenge. The team will face off against Boston College Eagles at Silvio O. Conte Forum on February 25th at noon Eastern Time Zone (ET).
