The game was marked by intense competition, as evidenced by seven times tied and nine lead changes throughout the match. The Notre Dame team showcased their defensive skills with four blocks and seven steals, contributing to their overall performance. Their offense was equally effective; they managed to sink eight out of 17 three-point attempts, translating to an impressive 47 percent success rate from beyond the arc.

The Fighting Irish also excelled in ball handling and distribution, tallying up 12 assists over the course of the game. This teamwork helped them maintain a steady flow on offense despite facing a tough defense from the home team. On rebounds, Notre Dame secured a total of 33 compared to North Carolina State's more dominant presence on the glass with 39 rebounds.

From within two-point range, however, Notre Dame struggled slightly more than usual; they made only 13 out of their attempted 42 shots resulting in a modest conversion rate of just about one-third or precisely at 31 percent. Free throw opportunities were scarce for both teams but when presented at the line; Notre Dame capitalized by making five out of seven free throws which rounded up to approximately a solid execution rate at around three-quarters or exactly at 71 percent.

North Carolina State put up an admirable fight as well. They had better luck inside scoring with points in paint totaling at double that of Notre Dame's output (24 points). Their two-point shooting percentage stood higher than that of their opponents' (42 percent), but they fell short from long distance making only three out of seventeen attempts for an underwhelming three-point percentage (18 percent).

Despite these efforts from North Carolina State and even leading fast break points by one point margin (6), it was not enough to overcome Notre Dame's balanced attack which included contributions across various aspects such as fast break points (5) and points off turnovers (5). Moreover, while both teams took care not to commit excessive turnovers – eight for ND versus ten for NCST – it was ultimately ND’s superior assist-to-turnover ratio that underscored their careful ball management throughout this high-stakes contest.

As fans look forward eagerly towards future games featuring these talented squads, they can tune into broadcasts where each new matchup promises excitement and high-level competition among collegiate athletes striving for excellence on court.
