The Ohio State Buckeyes, with a rank of 7, clashed with the 21st-ranked USC Trojans at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The game ended with the Trojans outscoring the Buckeyes 83-74. The Buckeyes now hold a record of 0-1, while the Trojans have started their season with a record of 1-0.

Ohio State Buckeyes VS USC Trojans

The Ohio State Buckeyes displayed a competitive edge in fast break points, scoring 15 compared to nine by the USC Trojans. Despite this effort, it was not enough to secure victory. The home team's performance from beyond the arc was less effective than usual; they made only five three-pointers on 21 attempts, translating to an accuracy rate of roughly 24 percent.

In contrast, despite fewer attempts from downtown (19), the visiting team managed to sink six three-pointers at a rate of approximately 32 percent. In terms of two-point field goals, both teams showed efficiency; however, it was again USC who had an edge making an impressive 60 percent from inside compared to Ohio State's respectable but lower rate of about 49 percent.

The rebounding battle also went in favor of USC as they grabbed a total of 43 rebounds against Ohio State's total rebound count which stood at just under half that number—28 rebounds for the game. This included both defensive and offensive boards where USC led with totals of approximately ten and twenty-nine respectively compared to seven and eighteen by Ohio State.

Ohio State did excel in converting turnovers into points; they capitalized on opportunities scoring twenty-five points off turnovers while their opponents scored seventeen points off turnovers. However, ball handling proved more challenging for Ohio State as they turned over possession fourteen times during play whereas their counterparts committed twenty turnovers.

Free throw shooting was one area where Ohio State shone brightly; sinking around seventy-nine percent from the line on twenty-nine attempts which eclipsed USC’s free throw performance that saw them make sixty-eight percent on twenty-five attempts.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team: The next game for The Ohio State Buckeyes will be held at Value City Arena in Columbus against IUPUI Jaguars on November twelve at one PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch all live action via B1G+ internet broadcast network.
