The game held at Value City Arena in Columbus was a showcase of offensive firepower and resilience from both teams. The home team, the Buckeyes, demonstrated remarkable scoring efficiency with a field goal percentage of 49 and an impressive three-point shooting performance at 50 percent accuracy. They also capitalized on their free throw opportunities, making 19 out of 24 attempts which translates to a solid 79 percent completion rate.

Ohio State's points in the paint were particularly notable as they amassed a total of 44 points close to the basket. Their defensive efforts were highlighted by securing five blocks and six steals throughout the game. Rebounding was another area where they excelled; pulling down a total of 41 rebounds with an especially strong showing on the offensive glass where they grabbed eleven rebounds leading to crucial second-chance points.

On the other side, despite being outscored, Iowa Hawkeyes put up an admirable fight. They shot well from beyond the arc as well with ten three-pointers made out of twenty-eight attempted for a respectable shooting percentage from deep at around thirty-six percent. The Hawkeyes also showed proficiency from two-point range hitting fifty-four percent of their shots inside.

Iowa's fast break execution was noteworthy as they scored seventeen fast break points during play but ultimately fell short against Ohio State's robust defense and more balanced attack which saw eighteen assists distributed among players compared to Iowa's twenty-two assists but lower assist-turnover ratio.

As fans look forward to future games, attention turns towards Ohio State Buckeyes' next challenge on January twenty-fifth when they will face off against Illinois Fighting Illini at State Farm Center in Champaign. This away game is scheduled for six PM Central Time and will be broadcasted online via Peacock network for fans eager to follow every moment live.
