The game at Value City Arena was a showcase of Ohio State's offensive and defensive coordination. The home team outperformed the Cornhuskers in almost every aspect of the game. With a field goal percentage of 48, compared to Nebraska's 36, and shooting 51 percent from two-point range, Ohio State displayed efficient scoring throughout the match. Their three-point attempts were also successful with a commendable accuracy rate of 43 percent.

Defensively, Ohio State was relentless. They amassed an impressive total of 15 steals which contributed to their significant advantage in points off turnovers: they scored 29 points from this avenue alone. This defensive pressure caused Nebraska to turn over the ball on numerous occasions – totaling at 30 for the game – which stifled any momentum they might have hoped to build.

Ohio State also excelled in ball distribution with a total of 19 assists; this teamwork led to an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.58 indicating their effective ball handling and decision-making during play. In contrast, Nebraska struggled with only an assist-to-turnover ratio of about half that amount at just under .41.

Rebounding was another area where Ohio State proved superior; they collected a total of 34 rebounds (24 defensive and six offensive) against Nebraska's total rebound count at just slightly higher at 37 (31 defensive and four offensive). However, it is worth noting that despite having fewer rebounds overall, Ohio State managed more points in paint (36) than Nebraska did (16).

As for individual performances on the Buckeyes side: players stepped up across all quarters contributing to both offense and defense effectively leading them towards this decisive victory over their conference rivals.
