Oklahoma Sooners Secure Victory at United Supermarkets Arena Against Texas Tech Lady Raiders
The Oklahoma Sooners, ranked 19th, delivered a strong performance against the unranked Texas Tech Lady Raiders at United Supermarkets Arena. The Sooners' record now stands at an impressive 89-79, while the Lady Raiders fell short in their efforts.
From the opening quarter, both teams set a competitive pace with each scoring 19 points. However, as the game progressed, the Oklahoma Sooners began to pull away. By halftime, they had matched their first-quarter score with another 19 points and continued to build on their momentum in the second half by adding 24 and then 27 points in the third and fourth quarters respectively.
The Sooners excelled in various aspects of the game. They dominated rebounds with a total of 47 compared to just 27 from Texas Tech. This included an impressive tally of offensive rebounds for Oklahoma at 17 which contributed significantly to second-chance opportunities resulting in 13 second-chance points.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with four steals each. However, where Oklahoma stood out was in blocking; they recorded four blocks while Texas Tech did not manage any rejections throughout the game.
Player turnovers were relatively low for such a high-scoring affair; Oklahoma turned over possession twelve times while assisting on twenty-seven occasions which speaks volumes about their ball distribution and teamwork during play execution.
