Oklahoma Sooners Set to Host Kansas Jayhawks at Lloyd Noble Center in Women's Basketball Showdown

As the Oklahoma Sooners prepare to host the Kansas Jayhawks at the Lloyd Noble Center, fans are eager for what promises to be a thrilling encounter in women's basketball. The Sooners have been showing signs of promise, and this upcoming game could be a pivotal moment for them.

Kansas Jayhawks VS Oklahoma Sooners

In their last game on December 22 against Southern University Jaguars, the Sooners fell short by nine points, finishing with a score of 70-79. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways that could play into their strategy against the Jayhawks. The team demonstrated strong rebounding capabilities with a total of 42 rebounds and an impressive performance in fast break situations scoring 20 points. However, turnovers were a significant issue as they gave up possession 27 times which ultimately may have cost them the game.

The offensive end showed potential but was marred by inconsistency from beyond the arc and from free-throw line where they shot just 39 percent and 54 percent respectively. These areas will need tightening up if they are to overcome their next opponents.

On December 20, facing off against North Carolina Tar Heels ranked at number 24 proved challenging for OKLA as they succumbed with only 52 points compared to Tar Heels' 61. This time around it was shooting efficiency that let them down; hitting just over one quarter of their field goals is something that simply must improve going forward.

However, it wasn't all doom and gloom for OKLA when looking back at their performance on December 9 against UNLV Lady Rebels. Despite losing with a final score of 76-92, there were flashes of brilliance particularly in terms of assists where they racked up an impressive count of twenty-two indicating good ball movement when things click into place.

The key player statistics from these past games suggest that if OKLA can harness some consistency in shooting while maintaining their solid rebounding and assist numbers – not forgetting tightening up on turnovers – then there is every chance they can turn things around starting with this home game advantage against KU.

Fans should expect an intense battle as both teams vie for victory but based on recent performances; it seems likely that Oklahoma has enough about them to edge out Kansas if lessons have been learned from past encounters.

Mark your calendars for January 28th when Oklahoma Sooners will welcome Kansas Jayhawks at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. Tip-off is scheduled after sunset local time; fans unable to attend can follow live updates or watch post-game analyses through various sports networks dedicated coverage channels.
