Oklahoma State Cowgirls to Face New Orleans Privateers at Gallagher-Iba Arena

As the Oklahoma State Cowgirls prepare to welcome the New Orleans Privateers to Gallagher-Iba Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying matchup. The Cowgirls have shown a level of play that could very well dominate their upcoming opponents on November 8th.

South Carolina State Bulldogs VS Oklahoma State Cowboys

Looking back at the Cowgirls' recent performance, it's clear they have been on a rollercoaster. Their stunning 100-point game against SIU-Edwardsville Cougars on November 6th showcased their offensive prowess. With a field goal percentage of 51 and an impressive three-point completion rate of 24 percent, they dominated every quarter. Their defense was just as formidable, with seven steals and three blocks contributing to a significant number of points off turnovers: 26 in total.

However, basketball is unpredictable, and even teams with strong showings can falter. This was evident when the Cowgirls faced Miami (FL) Hurricanes earlier in March and narrowly lost by one point. Despite having a higher free throw percentage at nearly 86 percent compared to Miami's meager 33 percent, turnovers proved costly for Oklahoma State.

The upcoming game against UNO offers the Cowgirls an opportunity for redemption after their loss against Texas Longhorns in March during the Big 12 Semifinal where they scored only 57 points with a lower field goal percentage of just over half that from their win over SIUE Cougars.

The Privateers should not be underestimated though; any team can rise to the occasion or crumble under pressure. However, if OKST plays consistently with how they performed against SIUE Cougars—minimizing turnovers and maximizing points from fast breaks—their victory seems more than likely.

Fans should expect OKST’s players to come out strong right from tip-off aiming for high percentages in both two-pointers and free throws while maintaining tight defense throughout all four quarters.

Mark your calendars for November 8th at Gallagher-Iba Arena where this exciting clash will take place at noon local time. For those unable to attend in person, details about broadcast options will surely emerge closer to game day—stay tuned!
