In a display of offensive efficiency, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls outperformed the Southern Illinois Salukis at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The home team's shooting was particularly effective, with a field goal percentage of 44 and an exceptional free throw percentage of 86. Their two-point shots were falling consistently as they hit 57 percent from that range.

The Cowgirls also excelled on defense and in rebounding, registering three blocks and matching the Salukis' eight steals. They dominated both ends of the court with thirty-nine total rebounds—ten offensive and twenty-six defensive—providing them numerous second-chance opportunities which translated into fifteen second-chance points.

Offensively, both teams started evenly matched in the first half with thirteen points each in the first quarter and seventeen each in the second. However, it was after halftime when Oklahoma State began to pull away significantly, racking up twenty-five points to Southern Illinois' fourteen in the third quarter followed by another strong performance with twenty-one points to fourteen in the fourth quarter.

The home team capitalized on turnovers as well; they scored sixteen points off turnovers compared to nine by their opponents. This was despite both teams having similar assist-to-turnover ratios: Oklahoma State at 0.75 and Southern Illinois slightly higher at 0.76.

While both teams had eight steals apiece during this encounter, it was clear that Oklahoma State made more out of their opportunities on fast breaks scoring four fast break points against eleven by Southern Illinois.

The visiting Salukis showed resilience despite being outplayed; they managed to sink three-pointers at a rate of eighteen percent but struggled overall from beyond the arc compared to their two-point attempts where they shot forty-eight percent successfully.

Looking ahead for fans of The Oklahoma State Cowgirls: their next game is scheduled for December 20th against Utah Tech Trailblazers at Burns Arena located in St. George, Utah. This upcoming event will not be broadcasted but supporters can follow live updates through various sports news outlets.
