The game at Beasley Coliseum saw the Ducks start slowly, trailing in the first quarter with just 8 points to the Cougars' 10. Despite picking up pace in the second quarter by adding another 12 points, they still found themselves behind as halftime approached. The third quarter brought more intensity from Oregon, contributing an additional 15 points to their total and demonstrating a resilient spirit.

Oregon's performance was marked by significant contributions across various aspects of play. They were able to secure a total of 38 rebounds compared to Washington State's 36, showcasing their ability to compete on the boards. Of these rebounds, an impressive number were on the offensive glass—13 offensive rebounds gave them opportunities for second-chance points which they capitalized on with a notable tally of 19.

Offensively, Oregon made sure to assert themselves inside as they accumulated a substantial number of their total points from within the paint—36 out of their overall score came from this area. Their shooting accuracy from two-point range stood at an effective rate of around forty-five percent; however, they struggled beyond the arc with only twelve percent accuracy for three-pointers.

Defensively speaking, both teams managed two blocks each throughout playtime but it was in steals where Oregon slightly lagged behind with three against Washington State's four. Personal fouls were kept relatively low by Oregon standards as they committed nine fouls over four quarters.

The final period witnessed an impressive surge from Oregon who put up twenty-six points—their highest-scoring quarter—but it wasn't enough to close down Washington State who had built up momentum leading into that last stretch and secured twenty more points themselves.

Looking ahead for fans of The Ducks is another opportunity for victory when they host California Golden Bears at Matthew Knight Arena located in Eugene on February twenty-ninth at seven o'clock PM Pacific Time. This upcoming game will be available for viewing so supporters can watch how The Ducks will perform next time on court.
