In their last outing on February 18 against the Maryland Terrapins, PSU faced a tough defeat with a final score of 62-77. Despite this setback, there were positive takeaways from their performance. The team's ability to generate points off turnovers was impressive, scoring 28 points in that category. However, they struggled with ball control themselves, turning it over 26 times which ultimately contributed to their loss.

The Lady Lions' previous home game against Illinois Fighting Illini on February 15 showcased their fighting spirit despite falling short by a score of 71-86. They demonstrated strong rebounding capabilities with a total of 36 rebounds and an exceptional free throw percentage at 80 percent. Their second-chance points stood out as well at an impressive tally of 18.

One aspect that PSU will need to focus on is improving their assists-to-turnover ratio; during the game against Illinois it was just below one (0.82), indicating room for improvement in maintaining possession and creating scoring opportunities.

The matchup with Minnesota presents an opportunity for redemption and showcases PSU's ability to bounce back after challenging games. The key will be capitalizing on turnovers while minimizing their own – something they've proven capable of doing effectively.

Looking at the statistics from past performances, it's clear that Penn State has strengths they can leverage – such as fast break points which were notable against Wisconsin Badgers on February 11 where they scored an exhilarating total of 27 fast break points.

With home-court advantage and lessons learned from recent encounters, PSU stands ready for another chance at victory when they face MINN this Sunday afternoon. Fans can expect intense action as both teams vie for dominance in what could be one of the most exciting games this season.

Mark your calendars for March 3rd at Bryce Jordan Center where tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM Eastern Time. For those who cannot attend in person, tune into local broadcasts or streaming services to catch all the action live from University Park.
