From tip-off at Mackey Arena, it was clear that Purdue was in for a competitive battle as both teams ended the first quarter tied. However, by halftime, Purdue had established a lead with an 18-point performance in the second quarter against Duquesne's consistent effort. The home team's momentum continued to build into the third and fourth quarters where they scored 21 points each time.

The Boilermakers excelled across various aspects of play. They outrebounded their opponents with a total of 44 rebounds compared to Duquesne's 39 and were more efficient from two-point range shooting at 46 percent while holding Duquesne to just 34 percent. Their defensive efforts were highlighted by four blocks and seven steals which mirrored those of Duquesne.

Purdue also demonstrated superior teamwork with double the number of assists than that of Duquesne—16 assists showcasing their collaborative playmaking abilities. This teamwork translated into more effective offense as they made seven three-pointers at a rate of 32 percent compared to five made by Duquesne at only 19 percent accuracy.

A key factor contributing to Purdue's success was their ability to capitalize on turnovers; they scored an impressive 14 points off turnovers while maintaining fewer turnovers themselves (13) than those committed by Duquesne (17). Additionally, Purdue took advantage of second-chance opportunities scoring twice as many second-chance points (16) as did their opponents (8).

The free throw line also favored Purdue who shot an excellent rate making ten out of twelve attempts translating into an accuracy rate rounding up to about 83 percent whereas despite shooting well from this range too, making nine out of eleven attempts for roughly an equivalent percentage rate rounded down slightly less than Purdue’s.

Fans who filled Mackey Arena witnessed a commanding performance from their team which now looks ahead confidently after this convincing win against non-conference opponent Duquesne Dukes whose efforts fell short despite showing resilience especially during third-quarter action where they posted their highest quarterly score (19).

Looking forward toward future contests fans can tune in for updates on broadcast schedules ensuring not miss any action involving Purdue Boilermakers women’s basketball team whose recent performance has set high expectations among its supporters.
