In what was an electrifying encounter at Pinnacle Bank Arena, the Scarlet Knights showcased their offensive capabilities by shooting an impressive 60 percent from the field and converting on two-thirds of their two-point attempts. The team's scoring was distributed evenly across four quarters with contributions totaling to 20, 18, 22 and finally sealing the win with an additional 11 points in the last quarter.

Nebraska's rebounding efforts saw them grab thirty boards – twelve defensively and eighteen offensively – which translated into fifteen second-chance points for them against Rutgers’ four.

As both teams fought hard throughout all quarters resulting in eight times tied scores and three lead changes during playtime it was ultimately The Scarlet Knights who emerged victorious leaving fans exhilarated after such a close contest between these conference rivals.
