Sam Houston State Bearkats Clawed by Lady Toppers at E. A. Diddle Arena

The Sam Houston State Bearkats faced a challenging contest against the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers, concluding with a score of 76-60 in favor of the home team. The Bearkats now stand at 0-1 for the season, while the Lady Toppers have kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 record.

The third quarter witnessed a resurgence from Sam Houston as they racked up another 17 points but still trailed behind due to Western Kentucky's consistent performance and ability to capitalize on turnovers. The final period saw both teams slow down in scoring; however, it was not enough for Sam Houston State Bearkats who could only muster an additional 12 points against Western Kentucky's steady offense.
