San Jose State Spartans Face Off Against Montana State Bobcats at Worthington Arena in Women's Basketball Showdown

In a competitive matchup at Worthington Arena, the San Jose State Spartans fell to the Montana State Bobcats with a final score of 49-62. The Spartans now stand with an overall record of 0-1, while the Bobcats have started their season with a record of 1-0.

The game saw the San Jose State Spartans put up a valiant effort against their opponents. Throughout the four quarters, they scored 11, 12, 17, and finally 9 points respectively. Despite their determination, it was not enough to secure victory over the Montana State Bobcats who tallied scores of 10, 14, 21 and then closed with 17 points in each quarter.


The Spartans showcased some solid statistics during this encounter. They made an impressive six three-pointers out of twenty-three attempts which translates to a three-point percentage rounded off to twenty-six percent. Rebounding was another area where both teams battled fiercely; however, San Jose State ended up grabbing twenty-nine rebounds in total – fifteen defensive and ten offensive – compared to Montana State's thirty-eight rebounds.


Montana State’s performance was commendable as well; they had five blocks and eight steals contributing significantly towards their win. Their field goal percentage stood at forty-three percent after making twenty-three out fifty-three attempts from all ranges on court including nine successful three-pointers which gave them thirty-six percent accuracy from beyond arc.


Their free throw shooting was slightly better than that of San Jose's as they made seventy-eight percent by converting seven out nine tries into points. Additionally noteworthy is that Montana scored eighteen second-chance points compared to San Jose’s six due largely because they managed thirteen offensive rebounds throughout game duration.
