From the opening tip-off at Colonial Life Arena, the home team set an aggressive tone. The Gamecocks opened up with a strong first quarter, outscoring the Blue Hose by 17 points. Their offensive efficiency was on full display as they shot an impressive 56 percent from the field throughout the game. A significant contributor to this was their performance from two-point range where they made 27 out of 40 attempts, translating to a remarkable shooting percentage of 68 percent.

Defensively, South Carolina was just as formidable. They amassed seven blocks and eleven steals over four quarters of play. This defensive pressure led to eighteen points off turnovers for the Gamecocks compared to only four for Presbyterian.

The home team also excelled in ball distribution and teamwork with eighteen assists leading to scores; this was more than double that of their opponents who managed ten assists. Furthermore, South Carolina's players maintained better control over possession as evidenced by their lower turnover count (nine) compared to seventeen by Presbyterian.

Rebounding was another area where South Carolina proved superior; they pulled down forty-four rebounds including thirteen offensive boards which contributed to eighteen second-chance points. In contrast, Presbyterian managed twenty-seven rebounds with eight coming on the offensive glass resulting in three second-chance points.

South Carolina's bench also played a pivotal role contributing valuable minutes and maintaining intensity throughout the game which allowed them not only to sustain but extend their lead especially during later stages when fatigue could have been a factor for both teams.

As fans look ahead after this convincing win by South Carolina Gamecocks against Presbyterian Blue Hose at Colonial Life Arena witnessed by an attendance of eleven thousand five hundred thirty-six spectators; anticipation builds for what is next on schedule for them: A face-off against North Carolina Tar Heels (UNC). This upcoming match is set for March 24th at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia SC starting at noon Eastern Time Zone (ET).
