Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, both teams struggled to find their rhythm offensively, each scoring only 10 points. Despite this low-scoring period, South Carolina's Joyce Edwards made her presence felt on both ends of the court. Her defensive prowess helped keep the Longhorns from extending their lead further.

Third Quarter

The third quarter was pivotal for South Carolina as they mounted a comeback effort by outscoring Texas 21-13. Ta'Niya Latson was instrumental during this period, showcasing her shooting ability and helping to close the gap between the two teams. This surge brought excitement back into the game and set up a thrilling final quarter.

Fourth Quarter

In an intense fourth quarter, both teams battled fiercely for control of the game. The Longhorns managed to edge ahead by scoring 20 points while limiting South Carolina to just 14 points in this decisive period. Despite strong performances from players like Raven Johnson and Adhel Tac, who contributed defensively and offensively respectively, it wasn't enough for South Carolina to clinch victory.

The final score stood at 66-64 in favor of Texas Longhorns. This result leaves South Carolina with a record of 0-1 while Texas starts their season at 1-0.
