From the outset, the Stanford Cardinal set a strong pace with a narrow lead in the first quarter and maintained their momentum throughout the game. Their offensive efforts were particularly notable as they scored 38 points in paint and capitalized on turnovers to add another 13 points to their tally. The team's shooting accuracy was evident with a field goal percentage of 44 and free throw percentage of nearly 74 percent.

Defensively, Stanford was just as formidable. They outrebounded Santa Clara by securing an impressive total of 44 rebounds compared to Santa Clara's 37. This included grabbing more offensive rebounds than their opponents which led to crucial second-chance points that kept them ahead in tight situations.

The home team also excelled in protecting their basket from scoring threats by registering seven blocks during the game – demonstrating not only skill but also tenacity on defense. Moreover, they managed to steal possession from Santa Clara seven times which disrupted any rhythm that Santa Clara tried to establish.

Santa Clara did put up a valiant effort despite falling short against Stanford's robust gameplay. They managed to sink thirteen three-pointers out of thirty-four attempts giving them a three-point shooting percentage of approximately 38 percent – showcasing proficiency from beyond the arc.

However, it wasn't enough against Stanford's balanced attack and solid defense which resulted in fewer turnovers (8) compared to those committed by Santa Clara (14). Additionally, Stanford had better assist-to-turnover ratio indicating more efficient ball handling and teamwork during playmaking sequences.

Looking forward after this emphatic win for Stanford Cardinal women’s basketball team is another challenging matchup scheduled for December fourth at eight PM local time against Gonzaga Bulldogs right here at Maples Pavilion where fans can catch all action live on Pac-12 Network.
