The match was held at the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle, where both teams battled fiercely through four quarters and into overtime. The Stanford Cardinal started with a slow burn, scoring 11 points in each of the first two quarters. However, they picked up momentum in the third quarter with 19 points before being held to just nine points in the fourth. It was during overtime that Stanford managed to secure their victory by adding an additional 13 points to their tally.

Defensively, the Cardinal showcased their strength with seven blocks and four steals throughout the game. Offensively, they were led by a balanced attack that saw them converting half of their two-point attempts and maintaining a field goal percentage of forty-two percent overall. They also capitalized on free throws making eight out of twelve attempts.

On top of that, Stanford's teamwork shone through with fourteen assists contributing to their offensive efforts. Despite committing eighteen turnovers during play – one more than their opponents – they maintained control where it counted most.

The Huskies put up a valiant effort as well; after trailing behind with only five points in the first quarter and eleven in the second, they surged back into contention by matching Stanford's nineteen points in third quarter and seventeen in fourth before falling short by four points during overtime.

Washington's defense was nearly as formidable as Stanford's; they blocked six shots and made eight steals over the course of play. Their three-point shooting was slightly better than Stanford’s at thirty-one percent but wasn't enough to overcome their lower overall field goal percentage which stood at thirty-three percent.

Looking ahead for fans of The Stanford Cardinal: The team will be playing away against Washington State Cougars at Beasley Coliseum located in Pullman on February 11th scheduled for a tip-off time at 1:00 PM Pacific Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted on Pac-12 Network for those wishing to follow along from home or elsewhere.
