The Cardinal started off trailing in the first quarter with 13 points to the Sun Devils' 15 but quickly turned things around in the second quarter by adding an impressive 23 points to their score. The home team maintained a steady pace through the third quarter, scoring another 14 points and concluded with an explosive fourth quarter by racking up 31 points. The visiting team from Arizona State University managed to put up a fight throughout, scoring 8, 17, and an impressive final push of 27 points in subsequent quarters.

Stanford's performance was bolstered by remarkable shooting accuracy; they achieved a two-point percentage of 56 and overall field goal percentage of 45. Their prowess was not limited to offense as they dominated defensively as well, amassing an astounding total of ten blocks compared to just three from their opponents. Additionally, Stanford's rebounding was superior on both ends of the court with a total of fifty-six rebounds—nineteen offensive and thirty-seven defensive—while Arizona State gathered twenty-seven rebounds altogether.

The home team also excelled at capitalizing on second-chance opportunities by scoring thirty second-chance points against Arizona State's eleven. Despite not making any fast-break points and committing twelve turnovers during playtime equaling three hours and twenty minutes for both teams alike, Stanford still managed to maintain control over most aspects of this encounter.

On individual performances for Stanford Cardinal: assists were distributed generously among players totaling nineteen assists which demonstrated effective teamwork against nine from Arizona State University who struggled more in this aspect. Free throw percentages were lower than usual for Stanford at fifty-eight percent but did not significantly impact their path to victory.

Looking ahead after this compelling win at Maples Pavilion before an audience of four thousand two hundred seventy-one spectators: fans can catch Stanford Cardinal next facing off against Oregon State Beavers at Gill Coliseum located in Corvallis on February twenty-ninth at seven o'clock PM Pacific Time broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network.
