Syracuse Orange Set to Host Miami Hurricanes at JMA Wireless Dome

As the Syracuse Orange prepare to face off against the Miami (FL) Hurricanes at the JMA Wireless Dome, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter in women's basketball. The upcoming game, scheduled for February 19th, is set against a backdrop of recent performances that give us a glimpse into what we can expect from both teams.

The Syracuse Orange have shown resilience and skill on their home court. In their last game at the JMA Wireless Dome on February 10th against the North Carolina Tar Heels, they emerged victorious with a score of 75-67. This win was characterized by an impressive field goal percentage of 45 percent and an even more remarkable three-point shooting percentage of 45 percent. Their free throw accuracy was nearly flawless at 92 percent. The team also demonstrated their ability to capitalize on turnovers, scoring 18 points off turnovers while maintaining an assists turnover ratio just below one.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for Syracuse; they did turn over the ball themselves a concerning total of 21 times in that game. This is an area where they will need to tighten up if they want to maintain control against Miami.

On February 16th, in Tallahassee against Florida State Seminoles, Syracuse struggled as they were outscored by Florida State's robust offense that put up a total of 78 points compared to Syracuse's 65 points. The Seminoles dominated inside with a staggering 42 points in paint and capitalized on second-chance opportunities with their offensive rebounds leading to additional points.

The Hurricanes are not opponents that can be taken lightly either; any lapses in defense or rebounding could prove costly for SYR. Miami will come into this game looking to exploit any weaknesses and establish dominance early on.

Despite these challenges, there is reason for optimism among SYR fans: when playing at home this season, there has been an extra level of tenacity and determination displayed by the team which could very well tip the scales in their favor once again.

As we look ahead towards Sunday’s clash between these two formidable teams – one thing is certain: it will be fiercely contested from start to finish as both sides vie for supremacy on court.

Fans eager not only witness but also support Syracuse Orange can catch all action live from JMA Wireless Dome starting at 6 PM local time (EST).
