Syracuse Orange Set to Battle Columbia Lions at Francis S. Levien Gymnasium

As the Syracuse Orange prepare to face off against the Columbia Lions at the Francis S. Levien Gymnasium, fans of women's basketball should brace themselves for an electrifying encounter. The Syracuse team is coming into this game with a mixed bag of performances, but there's reason to believe they could dominate on the court come game day.

In their last outing on March 20th against Seton Hall Pirates, Syracuse displayed a remarkable ability to bounce back after a slow start, ending with an impressive 72-54 victory. This was a significant improvement from their previous performance on March 2nd against North Carolina State Wolfpack where they fell short, scoring 58 points to NC State's commanding 83 points.

The key takeaway from these past games is Syracuse's resilience and capacity for offensive explosions. Against Seton Hall, after trailing in the first quarter with just 9 points compared to Seton Hall’s 7, they surged ahead in the second quarter putting up an astounding 26 points and didn't look back from there. Their ability to adjust and ramp up intensity as the game progresses could be pivotal against Columbia.

However, it would be unwise to overlook some concerning statistics that have plagued SYR recently. Their shooting percentage has been less than stellar; in their loss against NC State, SYR only managed a field goal percentage of approximately 33 percent and were particularly weak from beyond the arc at just 15 percent three-point shooting accuracy.

On defense though, SYR has shown tenacity with steals numbering in double digits during their clash with NC State which contributed significantly to their points off turnovers count of 19 – showcasing that when they turn up defensively they can flip possession into scoring opportunities effectively.

The Columbia Lions will not make it easy for them though; as hosts they'll have home-court advantage and will look forward to upsetting SYR’s plans. But if history tells us anything it’s that Syracuse thrives under pressure and can pull together when it counts most.

Looking ahead towards this matchup scheduled for March 24th at Francis S. Levien Gymnasium in New York City at precisely six o'clock PM Eastern Time – fans should expect SYR players stepping onto court ready for redemption after their mixed results thus far this season.

For those unable or unwilling to miss out on what promises be another thrilling chapter in women's college basketball – unfortunately no broadcast networks are listed but stay tuned for updates as game day approaches.
