Syracuse Orange Set to Battle Northern Iowa Panthers at South Point Arena

As the Syracuse Orange women's basketball team prepares to face the Northern Iowa Panthers at South Point Arena, fans are eager for what promises to be an enthralling encounter. The upcoming game, scheduled for November 24th in Las Vegas, will see the Orange looking to capitalize on their recent performances and secure another victory.

Cornell Big Red VS Syracuse Orange

The Syracuse Orange have been showing a strong offensive game this season. In their last outing against Maryland Terrapins on November 19th, they scored a commendable 81 points. Despite falling just short with a two-point deficit against the Terrapins, their scoring breakdown reveals consistency across all quarters. With an impressive field goal percentage of 44 and free throw percentage of 79 from that game, it's clear that when they have possession, they know how to convert it into points.

Defensively though, there is room for improvement. The team allowed 83 points in their previous match and committed a high number of personal fouls (22), which is something they'll need to address before facing UNI. However, with a solid rebounding performance totaling 39 rebounds and contributing significantly with second-chance points (21), the defensive unit has shown that they can hold their own under pressure.

The SO's resilience was also evident in their dominant win over Central Connecticut State Blue Devils on November 11th where they put up an astounding 101 points while maintaining an exceptional field goal percentage of nearly 63 percent. Their ability to create turnovers and convert them into fast break opportunities was key in this matchup as evidenced by scoring 21 points off turnovers.

On the other side of the court stands Northern Iowa Panthers who will certainly not make things easy for SYR. As opponents, UNI brings its own set of challenges; however based on recent performances by both teams, Syracuse appears poised to take control early if they maintain discipline and focus throughout each quarter.

Fans should expect SYR’s players to come out strong right from tip-off aiming for high shooting accuracy while tightening up defense against any Panther advances. If Syracuse can leverage its offensive prowess while minimizing fouls and turnovers as seen in past games this season – there’s every reason for optimism among its supporters.

Mark your calendars for what promises to be an exciting showdown between these two teams at South Point Arena on November 24th at noon local time (3 PM Eastern Time). For those unable to attend in person – details regarding broadcast networks are yet forthcoming but stay tuned so you don’t miss any action from this anticipated matchup!
