Syracuse Orange Set to Confront Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a Clash of Will and Skill

As the Syracuse Orange prepare to face off against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be a riveting encounter. The upcoming game at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum is not just another mark on the calendar; it's an opportunity for Syracuse to solidify their reputation as formidable contenders.

Reflecting on their recent performance, Syracuse has shown both resilience and areas needing improvement. On January 7th, they secured a victory over Boston College with a score of 71-64. Their offensive rebounds were impressive, grabbing 20 compared to Boston College's 17. This tenacity on the boards could prove vital against Wake Forest.

However, there are concerns that cannot be overlooked. In their game against North Carolina on January 4th, despite putting up a valiant effort, Syracuse fell short with only 51 points against North Carolina's 75. Their field goal percentage was just at 30 percent – numbers that will need to see significant improvement if they hope for success in their next outing.

The most telling performance came during their December 31st clash with Notre Dame where Syracuse triumphed with an astounding score of 86-81. They showcased an ability to maintain composure under pressure and execute plays effectively down the stretch – something they'll need again versus Wake Forest.

The Demon Deacons should not be underestimated though; any lapse in defense or rebounding by SYR could easily tip the scales in WAKE's favor.

Looking ahead at strategies for success, SYR must capitalize on fast break opportunities and maintain high free throw percentages as seen in past games (86 percent against Boston College). Additionally, minimizing turnovers will be crucial – they had fewer turnovers than Notre Dame which helped them secure that win.

With all eyes set on January 11th at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum at precisely half-past eleven in the morning Eastern Time, fans can catch all the action live via ACC Network Extra online broadcast network. The stage is set for what could very well be a defining moment for Syracuse Orange this season – will they rise up or falter under pressure? Only time will tell as we await tip-off with bated breath.
