The Syracuse Orange started off trailing by two points at the end of the first quarter but managed to keep up with their opponents, ending the half just three points behind. As they entered into the second half, they turned up their defensive efforts which resulted in nine steals and four blocks overall. This defensive prowess translated into offensive opportunities, allowing them to score 22 points off turnovers compared to Georgia Tech's 19.

Offensively, Syracuse showed consistency in their shooting with a field goal percentage of 44 percent and were particularly effective inside, making over half of their two-point attempts. Their efforts in paint were rewarded with 34 points. Despite struggling from beyond the arc at only a 21 percent success rate for three-pointers made, they compensated by drawing fouls and getting to the free-throw line where they made nine out of seventeen attempts.

Rebounding was another area where Syracuse excelled; they outrebounded Georgia Tech by eight rebounds totaling forty rebounds which included nine offensive boards leading to six second-chance points. The team's assist-to-turnover ratio stood even at 0.88 indicating a balanced distribution and ball security that matched that of their opponents.

On Georgia Tech's side, despite falling short on scoring efficiency with an overall field goal percentage of just under forty-two percent and converting only twenty-nine percent from three-point range, they showed tenacity inside scoring thirty-eight points in paint. They also demonstrated resilience on defense accumulating five steals and blocking two shots while grabbing thirty-two rebounds themselves.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team once more; Syracuse Orange will host Louisville Cardinals at JMA Wireless Dome located in Syracuse NY on February 11th at noon Eastern Time. This upcoming game promises another exciting matchup for basketball enthusiasts who can catch all live action broadcasted nationally on The CW network.
